Every time I go to Doncaster with my son, we visit Waterstones. It's like a family afternoon out in itself. They have a lovely children's section (which is where I spend most of my time these days). There are some fish on display and a little table where the kids can look at the books.
Sometimes, they have little activities on Saturdays, such as storytelling, etc.
Costa coffee is right next to the children's section which is perfect as we can then go and have a cup of tea. My whole family loves it! -

Best bookshop in Doncaster? Well it is the only one anyways!
I was quite suprised at the variety of books there as i was worried the place would be a box due to the shop being in 'little Donny'. There is also a small Costa Coffee upstairs which is quite nice. -

Waterstones is a chain bookstore very similar to Borders located right in the heart of the city. It is very welcoming and has plenty of books to choose from, from coursework for studens, childrens books, fiction, non fiction and so on. The staff are really helpful and the whole shop is very well organised and it is easy to find what you are looking for. I wouldn't say it was always as cheap as websites like Amazon but it is excellent for customer service. I regularly shop here.

This is the best bookshop in Doncaster in my opinion. It is a well laid out store which is situated over 2 levels. On the ground floor the latest releases and bestselling books can be found. There is a good selection of all books - fiction and non fiction for both adults and children. If the book you want isn't in stock a member of staff will happily order it for you. There is also a small coffee shop on the first floor selling a good selection of coffees. It's worth pointing out that if you struggle with the stairs there is a lift in here.
